Hump Day Confessions

I'm a little late to the party but hey, I'm still here and that's what counts, right? Anyways, these are my confessions for the week and I'm linking up with Kathy!

---So Brian was out of town for work the past few days so instead of having meals I just ate chips and salsa and went to bed at like 8pm.. except last night because PLL was on.

---I am still obsessed with Pretty Little Liars, by the way. I don't care that I'm 25 and the girls are supposed to be like 17, I'm sticking it out for the long haul (the 5th season just premiered last night and it already has been renewed for a 6th and 7th.. basically I will be watching this show until I'm 30, probably).

---I have eaten two of those freezy pop things as soon as I get home from work everyday for the last 2 weeks.
---We are visiting one last venue tomorrow before we make our final decision (okay, we've only seen the one I've posted about here but there are no other ones we want to see), and it looks really gorgeous online and seems pretty amazing but I kind of am mad at it because first off, they never got back to me with a time we could come visit for days and days and we want to make a decision asap so I had to email them AGAIN. #Sorrynotsorry but when I am about to spend multiple multiple thousands of dollars on something, especially at a brand-new, not-opened yet venue, you should probably be kissing my butt a little bit more. Plus, in their packet they emailed me about wedding packages, it says it includes a food tasting for the bride and groom, and if you want someone else to attend (like my mom or something) you have to pay an extra $25.00, and they make sure to clarify "this is a tasting, not a meal." Well rawwwwr.

---I have not clipped my toenails in like.. umm wait, I think I got a pedicure in the beginning of April so yea, since then.

---I'm a little freaked out that I'm going to be 27 when we get married, especially considering I always wanted to have a kid before 30..... I'm growing up so fast! When did I become an adult?

---So umm I might have bought the paper straws for our wedding favors already. I have a problem. But they were on sale, okay?

---Brian and I made a deal that I have to take care of all the cleaning and stuff inside the house, and he has to take care of all the outside stuff. Don't give me any of that crap about gender, I'd rather have my hand in a toilet any day than mow a lawn. Plus the only reason I agreed to the deal is that I never have to pick up dog poop again!

--- Except that Brian has been away for a few days and I left the poop in the yard overnight and I could barely sleep thinking about me accidentally stepping in it or something so I ended up picking it up, man!

---I'm watching 19 Kids and Counting right now, and it is set to record on my DVR anytime a new episode comes on #notevenashamed

--- I use hashtags in my posts sometimes because I think it's funny, and you can't stop me!

---I make myself laugh wayyyy more often than I should..

  2. People that do not answer emails within 24 hours ANNOY me (Okay lets be honest, within 3 hours...I KNOW they take a lunch break!) I am bookmarking your "agreement" with your husband about inside / outside roles. 100% agrees. Plus this goes with my steadfast rule: Boys take out the trash. I apply this to anyone in the male role, sorry for my male friends!

  3. If you get married when you're 27 you still have lots of time before 30 rolls around to have kids. Its okay to not be 30 too, I was 33 when I had Little K and it was perfect!

  4. 27 is still young but I get the anxiety since Im gasp... 28! haha Same on the toenail front. Closed toe shoes for the win! And as for the wedding venue that might have been a deal breaker for me. Nothing grinds my gears more than an unprofessional business place. I hope you get the venue of your dreams though!!

  5. Girl I feel ya. Most of the time I'm okay with it now but sometimes I freak out about the fact that I'm not where I thought I'd be at this age. I always thought I'd be married at 25 & have my first kid at like 26/27...I'll be 26 in 4 months & I'm single as all get out.

  7. Haha when Will is gone, I usually eat cheeze-itz. Full on meals just doesn't happen. I also do the inside and Will does the outside. I don't see why we have to challenge certain gender roles when they obviously work. To each his/her own!

  8. I will be just shy of 27 when we tie the knot in August - and I have had tons of friends tell us to wait as long as possible on kids. Don't get freaked!

  9. Chips & salsa is probably how I would live my life if my husband wasn't home. I'm in the same boat as you - I'll be 27 in September, and I have no idea when I want to start this kids thing. I'm just enjoying fun couple time right now.

  10. I love those freeze pops, reminds me of summertime when I was a kid. Seriously can time slow down now growing up is happening way to fast!

  11. I posted yesterday about my division of labor in the house and I think anyone who doesn't live in your house shouldn't be allowed to give an opinion on it! And you aren't old. I'll be 30 this year and I've been spending the past several months convincing myself that I'm not old so yeah... you aren't!

  13. Yeah, you sort of want your venue on speed dial, and when you say "make me pancakes" they should be saying "how many!" Sorry. Craving pancakes.

Anyhoo, good luck with the wedding venue picking! Just make sure you feel good about management in addition to the location, because that can turn into its own nightmare when they neglect to tell you things until the day of your wedding, things like "music off at 11 even though you paid the band until 11:30"

    Yes I speak from experience.

  14. Sooo I am 30 and am still obsessed with PLL! It is an absolutely ridiculous show but I cant help myself! I love it! And I am old. I am going to be 31 in a few months. AHHHHHHHHHH.

Do you have Jurassic Park going on with your toe nails? I have to cut mine at least every other week or I cant stand it. I would be cutting and jabbing myself constantly!

When my husband doesn't eat dinner with me...I have chips and salsa too. Or just snack in general.

I totally do everything inside the house. I would like to say Chris handles the outside but it is looking like a jungle because he hasnt cut the grass in like 3 weeks...he better get on it before I hire a lawn boy.

  16. LOL I felt the same way when I got engaged! I definitely want to have kids before 30 but now I'm 26 and I'm allll I dunno....it's all coming up so fast haha. Time needs to slow the eff down!

  17. It's okay, I'm 31, and I watch Teen Mom and other shows that are probably for the younger crowd. I feel ridiculous, but what can you do?!

When my husband is gone I don't make elaborate meals. I still have to make something, because I have 2 kids that expect it, but it's a lot of frozen meals. Or pancakes.
