Maybe I Need More Sparkly Stuff

Confession: I never have gone out on New Year's Eve. Maybe I'd do more on New Year's Eve if I had more sparkly stuff... okay, who am I kidding? Extremely large groups of loud drunk people at night is just not my scene. I've usually just hung out at with a friend or two or hung out at my parents' house. On our first New Year's Eve together, Brian and I spent it in the E.R. Oops, thanks stomach issues. The next year, we hung out at my parents' house and my sister's ex-boyfriend made it miserable (he was psycho but that's a story for another day never). Last year, we went bowling and I had bronchitis, ain't nobody got time for that! This year, we went bowling again with my family. After that, well, it sucked. Again. Is it the weekend yet?

I hope your New Year started off well. I don't have any resolutions since I have monthly goals for myself (mine will be posted tomorrow night).

  2. I have only been "out" once in my whole life for New Year's Eve and that was a bingo evening at the Casino and it was actually quite a bit of fun and yet laid back at the same time. I'd totally do that again, but really I don't do big huge crowds so I am completely good with staying home too.

  5. I stayed home last night and fell asleep by 9:30 and accomplished more today than I did in 2013. Maybe staying home isn't such an uncool thing to do. Maybe next year I'll get some sparkly PJ's and pop some popcorn. It's getting crazy up in here! Happy New Year, lovebug <3

  7. I've never gone out and done the NYE thing either. Part of me wants to, but a bigger part of me just likes staying home in my stretchy pants! Ain't nothin' wrong with it ;-)

  8. I never go out either! Definitely not my scene at all...I usually just stay in with friends. Some may call us lame, but I call us smart. Ha ha.

  10. I never go out, ever. I hate drunk people and crowds, both make me pissy.

I hope things get better for you, I want you to have an awesome 2014!

  11. I don't know that I have ever gone out for New Year's Eve, either. I am too scared of the drunks and also I am cheap. Sorry your night wasn't good, though.

  13. WHA?!?!?! You need to go out, go out at least once. NYE is usually a night that I'm kinda "meh" about but every once in awhile it ends up being awesome - like last year. I don't drink, typically hate crowds, etc but if you can find just the right spot, with your kind of vibe/music and the perfect group of friends, NYE can set the tone for the rest of the year. For the record I stayed home this year and shared pizza (and a bunch of other not good for you stuff) with two of my closest and that was good enough. :D

  14. I never go out on New Year's Eve either! This year TJ and I stayed in a local hotel and it was great because it kind of felt like were on vacation, but we still just got to chill in the room and watch Netflix until the ball dropped. Win/win :)
