Buck Tooth Beaver

Alright guys, I have another funny Taylor story. When Taylor was younger she was the sweetest little thing (what happened?), always paying everyone a compliment. Well my sister Savanna had some friends over one day, and 5 year old Taylor was hanging around them thinking she was one of the group. As my mom walks in the room, this is what she hears Taylor say to Savanna's friend:

"You look just like a buck-toothed beaver, with your two front teeth sticking out like that!"

My mom rushes in, sees the little girl's face fall, and tries some quick smooth talking "oh Taylor, that's so sweet. Molly, Taylor just LOVESSSS beavers, she thinks they are the cutest ever, so she just thinks you're cute! Beavers are actually nice animals with beautiful teeth..." Uhh, nice cover-up, Mom? See Taylor didn't realize buck tooth beaver was not really a nice name to call someone, and truly thought she was just stating the obvious, hahaha! Just another story to add to our family's list of quotable moments.

  4. Aww haha. Your mom is awesome to try to save the day. This reminds me of that really old show (I think with Bill Cosby) called Kids Say the Darnedest Things.
