Snow Dog

Well, as I'm sure you've heard or experienced, the 2016 blizzard certainly didn't disappoint. We ended up with about 34 inches of snow, with lots of drifts that were at least 5 feet tall. It was super windy with whiteout conditions and the wind chill was around 0 degrees, but luckily we never lost power (it did flicker a few times, but that's it). We are fortunate to have a warm house and had nowhere to be. The dachshunds are not so fond of the snow, so they spent the whole day in front of the fireplace and rushed to use the bathroom when we forced them to go outside. Oatmeal loved the snow though. She thought we put the snow there just for her. I got some awesome pictures of Brian and her playing in it (from the open window- unfortunately casts and knee scooters aren't really conducive to playing in the snow!), so enjoy these million pictures while you continue digging out from the blizzard!

    Your dog is awesome. I wish our cats had any interest in the snow lol. We didn't get quite as much, but also stayed inside and luckily had nowhere to be.

    Adorable!!! Lucy loves the snow too...especially chasing snowballs. It's hilarious to watch her frolic like that.

    oh my goodness, you got so much snow! how adorable are these photos. i took my cats out a couple times (whilst holding them) and they weren't huge fans lol

    Ahhhhhh love seeing dogs play in the snow! So stinking cute!!!! My dogs aren't fans of the cold weather and get whiny really quick when they are outside in it! They are even willing letting me put on their jackets and sweaters to go out haha!

    Those pictures are crazy! So much snow! I'm glad you didn't lose power! That was my worst fear during the storm!

    I love how much labs love the snow, we don't get it often here but one year we had snow that deep and my yellow lab LOVED it.

    I loved seeing all of your snaps of Oatmeal playing in the snow! I still can't believe that y'all got that much snow that fast! Hopefully y'all won't be stuck inside for too much longer!
