December Goals

So I'm happy to report that reaching my goals went a little better in November. Let's recap:

1) Lose 5 pounds. Nope, didn't happen, boo.

2) Get a job. Check! Crossing this one off the list!

3) Do 4 weeks of C25K. We did about 2 weeks, which is better than none.

4) Do most of my Christmas shopping. Yup, just two presents left to order!

Alright let's hope for better results in December. I really think writing out my goals makes a difference for me. Here's what I want to accomplish this month:

One. Send out Christmas cards. If you want one, message me your address :-)

Two. Workout 4x per week. Whether it's running, walking, or zumba, I want to get in 30 minutes at least 4 times per week.

Three. Not give in to the holiday binge-eating habit. I will not be eating 3 cookies for a snack or pie for breakfast. Treats, especially this time of year, are welcome and I will definitely have some, but they are exactly that--TREATS-- and are not to be consumed on a regular basis!

Linking up with Erica! Have a great day! P.S. I'm guest posting for Whitney

  4. But... pie for breakfast is awesome...

    :)

I'm going to try to find the willpower to stay away from those habits as well. Good luck!!!

  5. TROOP BEVERLY HILLS!

I have yet to buy Christmas cards so I really need to get on that. I am totally jealous of your almost-done shopping. We are having Christmas with some family this weekend and I haven't even finished theirs! (Um wow Lauren, procrastinate much?) . And the holiday food is so hard. I have so many reasons to eat that I am trying to make sure that I eat healthier things when I am not celebrating or doing anything social but this is not going to be a pretty holiday season!

  9. AHH. The treats. I made cookies Sunday night "just because" for work, and of course they sat out in front of my desk and I ate 3 within a ten minute time period!!!!!!

  11. Haha ohh the December binge eating. So, so guilty. I try not to keep any of the bad food at home. But when someone's like 'here, take these extra Christmas cookies'... it's so hard to say no!

  16. I laughed through your entire guest post about law school! It's funny because as someone with a BA but who has never attended law school, I tend to imagine a perfectly orderly class full of ties, portfolios and pencil skirts. I see the reality is: Law Students, they're just like you and me, AMPLIFIED.

  17. Oh man, it's so hard to eat well in the holiday season. This is my goal too and I've already failed. I was supposed to clean up my diet starting Dec 1, but I still haven't gotten my act together. I just want to hibernate and eat treats :(

Good luck on your goals! I need to work on Christmas gift shopping too.

  18. I love the shopping gif... I saw that the other day and almost used it myself! Hilarious! :D I mean, you can't make a goal like losing weight over the holidays. That's CRAZY talk, woman! haha :P

  19. I always say I'm going to send out Christmas cards but every single year I forget or get too lazy. Maybe this is the year to start since I'm in a new city far from family/friends lol
