Both you and the dogs are unbelievably adorable! I'm with Kelli, I'm kinda glad Christmas is over, even though I don't want to take the tree down. Who doesn't love hanging out with a lit Christmas tree?

Visiting from Janna's blog and I thought I'd say hi! :) I know exactly what you mean about being sad that Christmas is over! It's my favorite holiday and I start celebrating it in November so I'm sad when it's over. Granted, my decorations won't come down until mid-January just because I love the lights so much, haha! Anyway, it looks like you had an absolutely WONDERFUL Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Christmas dishes! And dogs in costumes, obviously. Now I want a Christmas redo!
ReplyDeleteWe keep the spirit of Christ all year-through but, yes, I love and miss Christmas too! We are already planning how we will decorate and what will do for Christmas 2014. Oh, and nice pics!
ReplyDeleteI've never read your blog in my life, but I found it googling "I miss Christmas". I'm a bonafide Christmas NUT! I look forward to it all year; I'm already excited for Christmas 2014. Let me tell you what's helped me optimize the season. I no longer look at Christmas as a day, but I look at the entire season as "Christmas". When I was growing up I HATED that my well intentioned parents made so much of Christmas about the gifts, on that one day. Even as a kid, who, like all children, loved getting gifts, there was this huge letdown when the presents were all opened. As an adult I made the decision to celebrate in a way that really allows me to indulge in my favorite time of year. I start the Monday after Thanksgiving and immerse myself in Christmas music, movies, food, prayer, praise, and just overall a basking in the spirit of the Lord and the joy of the season. I love both the spiritual and secular aspects of the holiday. But here's the thing, I don't stop celebrating until I want to! And that isn't typically until well into January. This past season my favorite part of the season ended up being January 1st-6th. I enjoyed the fresh snowfall, looked at Christmas movies, listened exclusively to Christmas music, had some goodies, and just overall had a really wonderful, consistent closing to the season that ended up being the sweetest part of the entire yuletide for me! So I now encourage Christmas lovers to define the season for themselves. After all the Philippines has the longest Christmas season; it starts there in September and goes all the way until January!
